Head Start Homes Appoints Josh Moyes as Board Chair
Head Start Homes is delighted to announce the appointment of Josh Moyes as Chair of our Board, following a unanimous resolution of Directors at our last Board meeting.
Josh's appointment marks an important milestone in the evolution of our governance as we continue to grow our impact and work towards our vision of a safe and stable home for everyone, with fair and practical pathways to home ownership.
Josh has been part of the Head Start Homes journey for many years. Prior to joining the Board in 2025, he volunteered as Head Start Homes' Risk & Regulatory Compliance Adviser, providing strategic guidance and governance expertise during a formative period in our growth. Since then, he has served as a Director, Interim Co-Chair and now Chair, helping strengthen our governance and support our continued impact.
In his professional career, Josh is currently Head of Operational Excellence - Growth, Brand & Marketing at Westpac Group. Over more than two decades, he has held a number of senior leadership positions, including Chief of Staff across several Westpac divisions and a range of senior regulatory, compliance and government affairs roles. His experience advising executives and boards, leading regulatory engagement, and supporting organisational transformation brings tremendous value to Head Start Homes.
Prior to his appointment as Chair, Josh served as Interim Co-Chair alongside Joel Larsen, helping guide the organisation through a period of growth, Board renewal and increasing impact. The Board's decision formalises the transition from the interim Co-Chair model to a Chair-led governance structure.
We are delighted that Joel will continue to serve as a Director and remain an important part of Head Start Homes' future.
