🏃♀️14km. $3,954 raised. Sore legs. Lasting impact.
Six of us lined up for City2Surf on Sunday and, thanks to an incredible community of supporters, raised $3,954 for Head Start Homes.
Some ran it. 🏃🏽Some walked Heartbreak Hill and will be insisting that was always the plan😂
Our founder Stephen Woodlands, board member Joel Larsen, Head Start Homes team members Natasha Kahn and Patricia Wade, and supporters Martin Borg and Joseph Scales took on the 14-kilometre journey from Sydney's CBD to Bondi Beach. 👏🏽
While six people took on the challenge, the fundraising effort was led by Stephen, Natasha and Joseph, who rallied friends, family, colleagues and supporters behind the cause. 🙌🏽
It was a great day. Plenty of laughs, plenty of determination, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
Every dollar raised helps us support more Australians on their pathway to home ownership. It's practical, life-changing work that creates lasting impact for individuals, families and communities.
So $3,904 isn't just a fundraising total. It's a meaningful contribution towards helping more people take the next step towards a place to call their own.
To everyone who donated, thank you. Your generosity turned a Sunday morning challenge into real opportunities for people working towards home ownership. You backed six people in varying states of fitness because you believed in what sits behind the challenge. That means a lot to all of us.
Home ownership shouldn't depend on who your parents are or what postcode you started in.
Some days our work looks like partnerships, lending solutions and practical support. On Sunday it looked like six people tackling a very long track for a cause they care deeply about. ✨
Because everyone deserves a safe and stable home with fair and practical pathways to home ownership. 🏡💚
Who's in for next year? 🙋🏽♀️
